If anyone has a lead on a FDE Gen 4 please share. I'm only finding sporadic gen 3 FDEs.

Any of you with FDE blocks (gen 3 or gen4) have any ftf, fte, or brass ejections to the face or erratic ejections?

I haven't had any issues of any kind.

Gen 4 FDE is about $640.

But it's finding them in stock that is the trick. Is Glock planing to make more, or is this a few and far between production runs?
The FDE Glocks were a Lipsey's special edition made only for them.Lipsey's is a distributor so you can't order from them directly.

Only delears registered through them could buy these Glocks. Supposedly the order was for 50k but glock would make batches at a time and all 50k were not made at once.

Not sure if they are gonna complete the 50k order and continue making them but in the beginning you could tell when the batches would be made since you would see the market getting a lot of them.

That was last year and it seems like their not coming in as much...so not sure if Lipsey's will be getting in more..

The OD Glocks are basically a similar story where a distributor put an order for a large amount which is why glock is selling them again... Figured they saw the popularity of the FDE Glocks and wanted to do the same...

With my FDE Gen4 G17 I've gotten a few cases to the forehead in the first few hundred rounds. Ejection seemed week and inconsistent. I then installed an Apex extractor and now ejection is positive and consistent.

My attempt at Duracoat with Magpul FDE. Not a Glock, rather, an XD. I'll try the same thing when I pick up a second G19. I agree, factory Glocks & XD's in FDE look like poop. I did this one to match a few of my FDE AR's. Below are before & after pics.

So it seems like Glock has worked out the ejection issues and FTF/FTE issues on the new / current productions?

This has not been an issue for some time. IIRC Glock was putting .40 springs in 9mm guns, which worked for Duty loads but not for low power target loads. Search for it, this topic has been thoroughly discussed.

Never quite got the color thing. I buy guns to shoot the crap out of them, not to stroke. Sighting down-range I can't tell or care what color it is. Let alone pay more money for a color. I'm more interested in what my target looks like than what color the gun is.

Why would you assume that just because someone is interested in guns in colors other then black they don't shoot their guns or care about their proficiency with their DE or OD gun.
