    New ruger 380

http://www.ruger.com/LCP/ Ruger has a new little 380 that looks kinda like a kel-tec. Too bad we probably won't seem them here. Mark

No need to worry about a mousegun, Tobe - I just handled the S&W M&P45 Compact at SHOT today.

It's their "commander"-sized M*P and is a perfect CCW gun for The Larger Dude.

Ruger execs if you're reading this- Make this available in North California! And in the rest of Cali too.
        I'll take one.

Is there an external safety? I didn't notice one on it when I went to the website, so I'm thinking it can't make the 'list' Is there a way around this if Ruger--(why would mere citizens need this)--Firearms submits it for testing?
People don't like to be meddled with. We tell them what to do, what to think, don't run, don't walk. We're in their homes and in their heads and we haven't the right. We're meddlesome.

Oh by the way Ruger execs, price this thing at $250 out the door. Your target audience is a Kel-tec buyer not a lottery winner.

Ruger website says it's not CA approved.

Well yeah, not yet. The question is whether or not it can be submitted for testing. It's Ruger, so maybe they'll put a mag disconnect in.

if it is made out of the same polymer their p-97 pistols are made out of it would be great

i wish they would make an ar lower out of that plastic its just so sturdy

It'd be cool if it were .32ACP

might have to pick one of those up, depending on the reviews.

I played with one at SHOT, very nice. Much better then the Keltec. Spoke with a Ruger rep.

"no plans on bringing it to CA".....there you go guys....

There are not going to be any "new" semi-auto pistols approved in California until the LCI requirement / DOJ's ridiculous interpretation of it is challenged in court. Ruger apparently doesn't care enough to fight (see e.g. the SR9).

I played with it as well.
                              Cute.
Not my cup of tea though.
