    FTE SIg P226, Blazer Brass

I was at the range early this morning, shooting my relatively new Sig P226 with Blazer Brass 124 gr. FMJ. I had two failure to ejects. Both times, the round fired, but was really quiet, almost like a dud. Brand new box of ammo.

Based on the sound, I figure it is an ammo issue. Any thoughts?

well, it's probably the ammo if other ammo shoot fine out of this gun and the same ammo sounds funny in other guns too.

Might wanna give CCI a call, if this happened twice in the same lot of ammo this is an obvious safety issue.

I would personally discontinue using anything from that Lot #. If you don't you had better be paying attention for the soft pops and making sure your barrel is clear of obstruction.

Can you post your lot #?

I'd check that barrel real close too. Any thing that feels like even the slightest bulge, could cause huge problems down the road.

The lot number is 0 76683 05201 8. The print is terrible on the boxes. The first 8 could be a B, but looks more like an 8. I bought the ammo at Palmetto during their free freight sale.

            The barrel looks fine .
