Well, I guess my response is dependent upon what you do with your firearms.
Do you like to go to a range and just punch paper?
If so, then go for either a 1911 or a S&W revolver.
Do you want to get into action shooting and already reload?
Get a 1911.
Do you want to get into action shooting and have no plans of reloading?
Stay with your Beretta or get a 9mm GLOCK.
Do you want a gun for home defense?
Either a 1911 or a S&W revolver.
The response really does rest upon what you want to do with the handgun.
My simple answer is to get either a 1911 or a S&W revolver just to grow a diverse collection. And what do you know, I own both a 1911 and a S&W revolver
