    Holster for blued Finish

I guess blued looks better than it carries, but what kind of holster will cause the least dammage to the finish, for occasional use. I found a rubber Galco m7x MATRIX very cool but unshure how the dammage will be. Ive also heard that wilson Combat makes a Kydex holster with suede lining. But how can I best preserve the finish.

    holster

What I have used, for years, Is suede lined leather holsters, from Alfonsos of Hollywood.(actually located in Burbank) They are expensive, but in my opinion, the best there are. Otherwise, Bianchi makes several suede lined models.

        holster

That's the purpose of the suede lining. To reduce wear on a blue finish.
Unlined leather holsters are very hard on blue, as are the plastic holsters.
I don't know about the Nylon holsters, I don't use them.

In the end, all holsters wear away the finish..

You can best preserve the finish by not carrying or shooting the gun and leaving it in your safe.

Safariland makes some suede-lined holsters that I'm looking at.

Other than that, stop worrying about it. It will get worn, dinged, etc. with use.

If you can't handle that, leave it in the safe and buy another to shoot & wear on!

Carry stainless. Stare at your blues. Otherwise, expect holster wear.

IMO nothing is better than a worn in tool, including CCW firearms! Each nick and scratch and rub mark tells your unique story. Carry it, enjoy it, and one day when its in the safe, send it out for a face lift!
