new here need suggestions

hey all. im new here but have been lurking for some time. Just a quick background on what i have sig226r 9mm, glock 22, beretta 96fs brigadier, and 92fs. My question is im looking to jump to a 1911 platform but have no idea which to get. SA, Kimber etc..im looking to spend no more than 1100. any ideas would be greatful.

Go with the S&W.

You're going to get a million answers.

Bottom line is to follow your heart. You can't go wrong with Colt, Kimber, Springfield or S&W. I'm really impressed by the Dan Wesson, too (except I'd prefer it didn't have adjustable sights). All of them make good quality firearms within that price range.

Personally, I'd choose Colt, followed by the DW, then Kimber. I don't like the fact Springer uses Brazillian steel. It's just my personal thing, though.

If you want to add a bit more money to your price, you can get a Les Baer for a bit more than $1100. That would be as good as they come.
