I use the thumbs forward grip when holding my handgun (Beretta PX4), but the fingernails on my shooting hand tend to dig into the palm of the supporting hand. Is there something wrong with how I'm gripping or would a handgun with a thinner profile eliminate this problem?

You should only be exerting lateral pressure with you left hand...it should be pressing on the top of your right hand's fingernails.
Your right hand shouldn't be exerting any lateral pressure on the grip...because the journey is the worthier part...The Shepherd's TaleComment
