I still don't know of any handguns that have a slide release lever. My Glock 19 sure doesn't.
Your glock 19 has a slide release. You are just too caught up in word games(see gryffs post where he linked slide releases) or youre just an Internet parrot (I'm guessing both). But anyways, don't be afraid to use that slide stop as a slide release also. Plenty of people use it that way effectively.

Slide release or slide stop, if it's used to release the slide to chamber a round then it does both.

I can pull 4 manuals from SIG, CZ, SW and HK that say to use the lever to release the slide to chamber a round after the gun is in rear battery.

If I had to describe myself in one word it would be "bad at following directions"

            Way to go Gryff
There is no problem with useing the slide stop to release the slide, the only issue is the slide slamming into the barrel because there is no round to slow it down, it makes me cringe just thinking about it. Just think of how stiff some of the springs are on a 45acp gun and all that force just slamming together
