Beretta PX4 - Is it a good choice?

Hello guys, I'm at the process of getting my first 9mm handgun.
Is the Beretta Px4 a Good choice? or would you recommend something else?

    I like a 9mm DA/SA so Glock is out.
I also looked into Sigs SP2022 but for some reason it didn't felt right.
My brain is playing tricks on me, making me think that Sig made the SP2022 super cost effective that they sacrifice quality just so it could compete in the market.. no offense guys. i love sig

i love mine, a little more complicated to reassemble than a Glock or an XD but i think it is worth it.

do you rack the slide using the overhand or slingshot method? this might be an issue if you're used to using the overhand method on a px4 type f model. the factory decocker/safety sticks out more than i'd personally prefer. however, there are after market 'stealth' levers that fixes this. other than that mine has been flawless!

I looked at the px4 storm but mags are $40 ea. I went with the m9 instead.

I would also look at cz 75 or sp01 if you could find them. I enjoy to shoot the cz more than my m9. But cz mags are expensive also. So.... just go with the gun that fits right in your hand

I have both the PX4 and SP2022. Love them both. The PX4 was my first pistol- easy recoil, felt good in the hand, easy maintenance, though a complete detail dis-assembly was a bit painful. The only thing I still don't like about it, is the safety ears. Those things rip my hands each time I rack the slide using an overhand technique, which I use 98% of the time on all my pistols. You can buy stealth ears from Beretta's site, but it says for LE only. I haven't tried ordering it or if it's considered illegal for me to order it even if it lets me.

That said, my go to pistol is an M&P9, followed closely by the SP2022. My PX4 lives in the safe now.

SP2022 or PX4 both excellent pistols for their price point.

              Get both!

I rented one once and liked the feel of it except I didn't like the tiny safety levers on it. I could probably get used to em and the PX4 is on my list of pistols I might buy if the right deal came along.
I think its interesting that I've only heard of two LE agencies that use the PX4: Fresno PD and Maryland State Police. Don't know if this means anything or not but it concerns me somewhat that very few LEO's carry it.

My px4 although in .40, has been great. I can't say enough good things about Beretta's pistols. Try and shoot a couple of different ones first, then decide.

Had a PX4 INOX, and it was a decent pistol with great ergonomics. Aftermarket is scarce, but there's always Dave Olhasso.

I had one and loved it. The most reliable pistol I have ever seen.

I just got a 92FS with the intention of eventually carying concealed with it.. Now that i see that the 92 might be too big to conceal on my svelt, perfectly chistled hardbody, I'm looking at the PX4.. i'm going to try one and will probably end up picking one up.

I don't have a Glock, so take my comment with a grain of salt, but the DIS-assembly is way easier than Glocks. (no pulling of the trigger, just pull the disassembly latch down, and bingo - done.)
