Anybody have one/shoot one? I'm curious to see how they are, I'm looking to complete the calibers with my family of CZ's.

Never owned one, but had the chance to handle several when I saw them in gunstores. Impression was that they're your standard excellent CZ guns, but their grip is BIG! Unless you have large hands or long fingers, it may not be comfortable to hold. I too would like one to round out my CZ battery (have a 75b that now wears a Kadet kit, a P-01 and SP-01)

I have one in blue and its my now my favorite pistol. It feels like the slide is on bearings. It is big and heavy but it is the best shooting pistol I have ever shot incl a couple custom 1911's.

Nice, glad to hear it. Im thinking of it to (almost) complete my pistol collection.
Thinkin want a full size 9cz as well. Considering a shadow, as I'm not a huge fan of the polys on te market right now :/

I love my CZ97, the grip is more comfortable for me than a 1911...the pull is a little long in double action.

Eh not too worried about the DA on it really. Even then I'll wear it in and get used to it.

I bought one in '05 and it's been kept loaded ever since. It's been reliable for me, accurate and easy to shoot. The grip is large, the reach to the trigger in DA mode is very long. I have large long hands, I'd say handle one before settling on it but other than that it's a great gun.

Have owned my CZ97B since 04 I think. Its the most accurate 45 I have personally seen and or shot. Its just a tack driver. I'm no pro by any means but even I can shoot 1 inch 25yard groups standing and 2 inch groups single hand bullseye style. The weight makes even the heavy loads seem weak. Adding a Hogue wrap around grip just make it feel like butter. The slide is just smooth and clean on cycle.

There are some downsides to it though. Its heavy and big. Not a pistol for carry or for someone with small hands. They do not like JHP rounds. Hollow points are illegal in the Czech Republic so no tested went into the development of the pistol. There are many like myself who have modified the feed ramp and other parts to feed these rounds but I'd still say its only 90% reliable at best with JHP. With FMJ rounds its been 100%. I have not tested it with small mouth JHP like the Critical Defense but wide mouths seem to be a no-go.
