S&W M&P 9mm issues?

Are there any issues the new full-sized M&P 9mm guns? I am considering one and don't want to encounter problems such at the FTE's and brass issues that some Glock owners are experiencing.

I read some M&P owners were having accuracy problems? Has that been dealt with by S&W?

I understand the June 2012 and newer M&P's have upgraded trigger parts to make them smoother?

My wife just got one. Great weapon except for the trigger. If you can get to the range and rent one first, do that. Over all great gun. Although I am getting her an Apex trigger and trigger job.

A fine weapon. There were some growing pains 5 years ago, but those got quickly worked out. Not the greatest trigger you ever used, but not bad (at least to me). It smooths out after a few hundred rounds, and very easy to get used to. However, the Apex parts will make make it better.

Reliable, accurate, comfortable and easy to shoot.

Overall, one of the top choices out there!

I've had mine since April and have put close to 900 rounds down range (of various manufacturers, weights and charge) with it and i've not experienced one malfunction or stoppage. As far as accuracy is concerned, the pistol is plenty accurate for me. I'm able to keep my shots within the center mass -1 and 0 areas on IDPA targets at 25yds, so it's good enough for me. The trigger felt fine to me out of the box, with the exception of the reset. However, I've read that APEX kits can help enhance that aspect of the trigger, so i'll look into an upgrade at some point in time in the future. Overall, i've been pretty happy with how the M&P9 is performing for me.

Love it. It's my #1 fav pistol in 9mm. Mainly because I can shoot accurately with it vs my PX4, XD9, even my glock 17g4. I'm not saying it's more accurate than those pistols, only that -I- can shoot better with the M&P than those others. Plus it feels comfortable in the hand (main point), and no brass ejection issues here. Unlike my glock 17g4 where it loves to force feed me brass 65% of the time just to let me know it cares. The M&P is also super easy to field and fully detail strip on your own (very glock like :P).

Stats : 2,247 rounds (+/- 10; yes I try to track every round through my pistols) through it so far with zero failures of any kind due to the pistol. Gone through WWB, Federal Champion, American Eagle, PMC, LAX Reloads, Surefire Reloads, some forgotten really cheap *** reloads. All fired without a single problem- though had a few failure to fire on the cheap reloads, but I attribute that to the reloads not the pistol.

Only mod i've done to it is add the APEX CAEK (competition action enhanced kit) and RAM (Reset Assist mechanism). I bought my pistol last year, so if the June version has a better trigger, you may not need the kits. It sorely needed the RAM though- couldn't stand not feeling the reset, much less hear it.

M&P's are excellent firearms. Plus they are the most ergonomically friendly polymer pistols out there, IMO.

I've heard that there are some issues with accuracy when using 147gr. bullets. Other than that, they are an outstanding pistol.

what city you from? if you're near Fresno, you can try out my compact or fullsize 9mm. compact is stock and full size has a apex FSS.

Can't complain about mine at all after ~2000 rounds.

You can use a pencil, pen, or screwdriver. You don't need the tool.
