Should I replace my front sight?

As I mentioned in a previous post, I recently have a faulty night sight from Truglo.

Today I received the reply from them: they are willing to replace the sight for me, BUT only if I sent the sight or slide to them.

Do you guys think it is worthy to take down the sight (by paying a smith) or send in the slide? or should I just leave it be since it is still working at daylight?

Send them the slide.I just sent off a sig slide priority mail insured for $13. That way it will be fixed.

I agree. Send the slide. The sight will be installed properly so hopefully no more worries.

so you can send a slide in a USPS mail? I thought parts of handgun is not allowed.

If USPS takes it, then it sounds quite easy. I will probably do it.

Send the slide. If you simply send them the defective sight and they in turn send you a sight which gets damaged by you or your local gunsmith, the problem switches back to your court.
