I want one. By market do you mean for you to sell yours or for S&W to make them again( I don't know if they stopped but my guess is they did)?

For me to buy a new one it would have to be a good amount cheaper than a Glock 29. I think the 1006 is a sexy gun but I wouldn't be buying a 10mm for looks.

    I do think(though my thinking isn't worth much) there is a whole in the market for a non-polymer non-1911(read $$$$) 10mm auto.

            Not a S&W, but a 10mm nevertheless..

The 1006 is one of THE best 10mm auto's out there. It's heavy, built like a Tank, has a decent barrel length, and it's reliable & shoots great. The only better 10mm auto out there, IMHO, is the Glock 20. Something about the wide polymer frame soaks up the recoil better than steel framed guns. I have (2) G20SF's, one is a 6" Longslide & the other is my USPSA Limited gun. If I wasn't a Glock guy, I'd have a 1006 in my safe right now.

Turner's San Marcos had a 1006 in the used case last year. It didn't last very long at $795....

Now that I own a Glock 20. I wish I'd got a 10mm years ago. I've always wanted one. When I learned to reload a few months ago, there was no reason not to get one. 10mm is now my favorite round to shoot......might even get another one someday.

I agree.! 10MM is my favorite round. Glock is my platform. I had a Delta Elite back in the 1990s...the slide had some cracking issues. Hopefully the newer ones were stronger.
