200rnds down the pipe or not?

Found this in the WTS claiming only 200rnds down the pipe. Mine has 10x more and looks better. And whats the deals with the magazine well, looks like there was a mag change after each round?

Maybe it wasn't cleaned? Some people over under estimate the rounds when they sell their firearms. 200 is more like 2000 lol

Don't all used guns only have 200 rounds through them?

Could be 200 round that specific owner put down the pipe. Post does not specify. And honestly, at 500$ it's not a bad deal.

They live for the opportunity to be called to duty to protect the innocent. The sheepdog has fangs and the propensity for violence but hopes that he will not have to resort to it. However, he lives for that day when he will be able to use his warrior skills and mindset to keep the wolf from harming the sheep."

Probably between 500 - 1000 rounds down the pipe. The Bruniton finish on the slide under the firing pin is still in tact and only a little wear on the feed ramp. I suspect the guy did a lot of finger banging the pistol and magazine changes. 200 rounds may have been a conservative or bogus estimate, but the gun is still in 99% condition and will most likely outlive you.

I had a friend who broke his leg a few days after picking up his 1911. He was laid up for a while and decided to just fondle his gun over and over. The only rounds fired through that gun were the factory test rounds. Yet before he ever made it to the range it looked like it had gone through a couple of pistol classes where they teach you to throw the gun at the bad guy once you are empty. So it isn't out of the realm of possibility he just played with it a lot.

Or the simpler conclusion is he posted the classic calguns 200 rounds sales pitch.

I don't personally know that model, but just maybe: the gun was on display in a shop and WAY overpriced. Dozens of customers came in, asked to look at it, cycled action, maybe again and again, then "Naw, I don't want it..." and back it went, repeat to hundreds. Then because of display wear it's finally reduced in price, guy buys it, shoots 200 and doesn't like it. Long shot but it could maybe explain the wear?

The difference between 200 rounds and 2000 rounds through this gun is pretty much meaningless as far as wear and tear or price goes. Questioning the seller's integrity is a different matter. Why anyone feels the need to post round count is beyond me. The fact that anyone would feel the need to lie (I'm not accusing this seller of doing that. Pictures can be deceiving) about round count would make me distrust them and not do business with them. Oh, round count does matter when it comes to overbored cartridges but, a quick inspection of the erosion in the chamber and barrel is all that's needed.

                            ^^^^ this.

As others said, regardless of round count, it still seems to be in great condition.

Whenever someone puts up what seems to be a bogus round count, I always question everything about the gun before I agree to purchase it. If they are willing to lie about the round count, I don't know what else they are willing to lie about. I'm not saying this seller is lying or anything, I'm just saying what I usually do.

Doesn't look that bad at all. It could have 200 or 2000 and you'll never know. I know I practice a lot of dry firing and reloads and that causes wear and tear just like firing live rounds
