Anyone had a chance to shoot this pistol yet? What kind of recoil does it have compared to something like the Kel Tec P11? I had one of those once, couldn't hit a side of a barn with it.

I've heard that it recoils extremely softly considering the size, weight, and short grip. This is likely due to the dual recoil springs and the relatively heavy slide. Here's a comparison to the Kahr CM9, in which she mentions the recoil feeling completely different and so much snappier on the Kahr:
I'll have a Nano in my possession this coming Tuesday and will put a couple hundred rounds through it by next weekend. I'll definitely post a range report. I've shot a few other micro-compacts or sub-compacts so I should have a bit of a frame of reference for how it feels. I had a long list of possible EDC guns, and chose the Nano due to reliability (the early ones apparently had extraction problems with cheap ammo, but it has been fixed), price, and availability. #1 choice was likely the Sig P938 but it's impossible to get and, at $700, it would have been a real budget stretcher. I'll be carrying the Nano in my White Hat holster and/or a Remora holster, with Talon [rubber] grips on it.
I shot the Nano at this year’s SHOT Show, and was equally amazed by its composure under fire. It’s a little chunkier than some other subcompact 9mms, but the Nano is among the most comfortable and the easiest to shoot well. It’s also +P rated and very easy to take down and reassemble.
I am anxiously awaiting the day that Beretta (or someone else) makes extended mags w/ pinky rest for the Nano. Also, Beretta still claims they will have various frame options coming out maybe this fall. Since the internal, stainless steel "chassis" is the serialized part, you can swap the frame. They'll probably make one w/ integrated laser, make different colors, etc. Heck... in theory, you could put the chassis into a full-size, double-stack frame.Last edited by JeremyS; 07-27-2012, 11:00 AM.Comment

JeremyS, please post a range report when you get a chance, I'll keep a look out for it. I've been turned off to the whole sub-compact scene due to my Kel Tec experience. So, it would be great if someone finally figured out how to make an accurate one.Comment

Yeah, these are Beretta marketing videos, but it's a cool playlist to watch through nonetheless: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R9imi...ure=plpp_video
I'll definitely post a range report. Accuracy with a long and heavy trigger is hard. I had it down with a Taurus Millenium Pro that I owned back in the day, but most people swore those guns shot low and left. They don't, just almost everybody shoots low and left with a long, heavy trigger pull.
I can tell you from dry firing it at my FFL last week, that the trigger isn't smooth. At least not yet. I could feel the striker spring compressing through the trigger. Like a slight squeaking stickiness, which gives you a little buzz feeling through the trigger. I expect this to smooth out. Most reviews say the trigger smooths out with a few hundred rounds, but I'll probably take it apart and just polish up the contact surfaces a little and replace the factory "lube" with something better. Usually factory lube priority #1 is rust prevention in case of long term storage, and actual lube properties are a distant second. At least IMHO.Comment
