    ppq mags

    Hi Guys,
I just picked up my PPQ and was wondering if anyone has any opinion on mags for this pistol. I saw in nut n fancy's youtube review of the PPQ that the magnum research mags have problems when you slam the mag in to the pistol. IE the top round actually comes out. Has anyone tried Sw99 mags in the PPq?

The new generation P99 mags work in the PPQ. That's what I'm using.

That's BS. He probably had a bad mag. He should not have jump into conclusion that it was magnum research.

I have both magnum research and Walther mags for my PPQ 9mm. I've shot them without any problem. I also slam the mags without issue but thought it was a subjective evaluation. My objective evaluation was I took them apart, compared the dimensions and and concluded they were the same. The differences are in the color of the follower, coating of the external side of the magazine, and the name.

I use 3 mag research mags for range work and they have been flawless. Will use factory walther mags for real life vs practice, just in case...

I have been all over Walther Forum in the past week and have not read one bad report of a Magnum Research mag in a PPQ yet. I was going to order a pair for my PPQ but I just got a notice from Magnum research that they are backordered until 2/1/13, so I canceled the order. I'd rather pay an arm and a leg for Walther mags now than wait 2 months plus shipping time for their mags.
