    Cant decide between

Im looking to add another 9mm pistol to my safe. Im currently looking at the Glock G19/Gen4 and the other is the S&W M&P9. Ive been able to hold and handle both but on been able to actually shoot the Glock. Anybody have some input or possibly own both and can give me some more info on them?

I have handled and shot both.
The trigger on the M&P seemed long, gritty and mushy to me. The Glock's trigger is crisper and shorter.

Those were my observations. Rent them and shoot them. Only way to know for sure what you will like.

I was in the same boat a few months ago (except I was looking at the G17). I decided on the Glock because I could get it cheaper than the M&P and with three mags.

I ordered it, it took to long to come in and ultimately wound up cancelling it and wound up with an SP-01 and I couldn't be happier.

Anyways... Both are fantastic options. I would just find a place to try both.

I shot the G19 and M&P9c back to back and ended up with a G19. It had nothing to do the M&P9c being too small as I really like the compactness of it. Most of it was feel to me. On the Glock I can hand so high up and firm around the grip, it is ridiculous. And no other gun I have shot feels that awesome. It also helps that I feel for an all around gun and ease of maintenance (availability of parts), a G19 is second to none.

Now that I have a G19, I want an M&P9c. That's the nature of the beast. As long as you have some money to spend on guns, you will most likely end up with both.

Can't go wrong with either, IMHO I pick the glock because u picked 9mm.

With handguns, its very personal. What works for most people may not work for you and may not mean its better or worst. I've learned that the hard way by buying and selling so many

Both are great pistols! I chose the M&P because I did not care for the grip angle on the Glock. I shot the M&P better, and it was more comfortable - more natural for me.

You really need to shoot them both and see which works better for YOU.

I like the trigger pull of the Glock over the M&P, but I like the way the M&P feels in my hands.

For me, its a toss up.

I have Glock19, but if I have to redo it again, I'll buy M&P 9 and upgrade the trigger with Apex kit.

Between those two, I'd go for the Glock 19. I'm not impressed with the M&P series except for the .45 version. But for an ultra compact gun, I'd get a S&W Shield for its slim size and the improved trigger.
