Non CA approved gun on CCW?

Hows it goin everybody? New here. I am looking for a good small 9mm to carry everyday. Being very small and easy to conceal is a must for me. I really like the look and specs of the Kahr CM9 and maybe even the
Kel-tec PF9. Trouble is they aren't on the roster of CA approved handguns so I can't buy it in a shop locally. I seen some for sale on gun broker that would ship to a local dealer. My question is, if I were to buy one of those guns and have them shipped to a dealer locally would I be able to put it on my CCW or would it get denied? Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.

im not sure about the CCw but I dont see how they would deni you for having a off roster gun on your CCW the hard parts gonna be getting the guns period to get the guns you have 2 options that I know of ,1 is to PPT the gun from another CA resident and a gun store or 2 you can buy it off of gunbroker but since its off roster it would have to be sold to you as SSE so you would need to find a local shop willing to do the SSe for you
Laws that forbid the carrying of arms... disarm only those who are neither inclined nor determined to commit crimes... Such laws make things worse for the assaulted and better for the assailants; they serve rather to encourage than to prevent homicides, for an unarmed man may be attacked with greater confidence than an armed man. Jefferson's "Commonplace Book," 1774_1776, quoting from On Crimes and Punishment, by criminologist Cesare Beccaria, 1764

Check out the .38 LCR w/ crimson trace. Weighs less than my keys!
Human beings only have two ways to deal with one another: reason and force. Force has no place as a valid method of social interaction, and the only thing that removes force from the menu is the personal firearm, as paradoxical as it may sound to some.

The U.S. city with the most restrictive gun laws in the nation, Washington, D.C., has the highest murder rate at 24 per 100,000.
The state with the most unrestrictive gun regulations, Vermont, has the lowest murder rate at 0.48 per 100,000.

See this thread - http://www.calguns.net/calgunforum/s...d.php?t=383692 - for one path to get off-Roster handguns; the other way is to find someone who has one to sell PPT.

As to off-Roster on an LTC, there's no PC support for an issuing agency requiring that, but some do anyway.

Frozen in 2015, it is falling out of date and I can no longer edit the content. But much of it is still good!

If you legally own the gun you can put it on your CCW. The Kahr PM9 is on the roster by the way. Good luck, carry safe.

Just to echo the above, I have an off roster handgun on my CCW (purchased legally when I was a resident of AZ)

SSE or not, if it's legal to own, it can be on your CCW list

Your username leads me to believe you live in the bay area. Check out Valkyrie Arms. They do SSE, and when I was there before (at their previous location) it was looking nice. I'm sure their new place looks even better.

Three of the five guns I've rotated through my permit are off roster, LCP, PF9 and non Cali Kahr P380. Bought two as SSE guns the other came from my LEO son.

If you happen to have a CRF50 I'm hoping to trade my PF9 towards one?
