When do I get my glock?

I did the dealer transfer on tuesday, 1/15/08
Do I have to wait a full 10 days and pick it up on the 11th day(tomorrow, saturday),
or can I pick it up on the 10th day (today, friday).
    Today or tomorrow?

Your best bet is to call the place where you did the transaction, some places do it at 10 days and some do it at 11 days...

Your pick up should be today after the time that is posted on the DROS. 10 24 hour days as posted above.

Best to call to save a trip though.

The law states ten 24-hour periods. So if you DROS at 2pm on 1/15/08, legally you can pick it up after 2pm on 1/25/08. However, some dealers choose to just say "anytime on the 11th day". If it would be a pain for me to pick up on the 11thday, I'll ask if I can pick up "after ten 24-hour periods" when I purchase.

Big 5 does eleven 24-hour days cause they're above the law.

              Saturday, I guess

I did ask on the day I transferred and he told me Saturday, so I'd better wait.
              Just thought I'd ask.

My experience down here has been that the small shops tend to use 11 days to be safe (although my favorite shop knows me and will do my releases in 10 days). But for most people it's only the large chain (Turners) that routinely does a 10-day release - probably because they are all computerized and their computer will not allow them to release a gun early.

                    Well...
I bought two, but the first one I'm due to pick up is a glock 29 (10mm).
                    Small hand cannon!
Second due to pick up a month from now is a first generation 17.
Collecting some of my semi auto wish list now, while they are still OK!

                      PICKED IT UP TODAY!

Thanks to everyones' responses, I pressed the point and was able to pick up the glock today. Pouring rain, and I didn't know if we would get snowed in tomorrow, so instead of taking the chance and having to wait until tuesday (he's closed sunday and mondays) I called to see if I could pick up today.

I won't be able to get to the range for a few days. My buddy picks up his new glock 19 on Tuesday, so maybe I'll wait for him and we can intiate our guns together! or maybe not! tomorrow might be good!

                      Thanks again for the help!

I'm breaking in a new G19 myself this weekend. Enjoy.

Yours will be a bit cheaper to shoot than mine!
