SA 1911 Loaded

Hey everyone!

I just picked up a new Springer 1911 Loaded in 9mm and got it DROS'd last night:




I've always wanted a 1911 but knowing how much ammo for .45 acp is, I sought for 9mm bc ammo for it isn't as expensive but I do intend to get the .45 soon (thinking already about a SA Operator or perhaps Kimber). I figured I can shoot a ton of 9mm and get proficient in the 1911 platform. I also thought of getting into IDPA/USPSA later down the road.

I'm not much of a fan of adj sights and I really want to get fixed sights for it. I'm thinking to go with the 10-8 modular sights since they look like they would fit this model.

Anyhow, this looks like an awesome community and glad to now be a part of it

My .45 rounds are 16.4 cents a piece, but I load them myself. Get a press sooner rather than later.

Damn that's pretty good. I've been thinking about getting to reloading. That might be my next purchase haha.

Welcome and congrats on your first 1911. I have the same model and believe me you won't regret it. Mine is very smooth and shoots like a dream. I will say during your 10 day wait start stocking up on ammo because you will be shooting it alot. Mine goes to the range evey time I go and it gets no less than 100 rounds through it each trip. Have fun, be safe and enjoy your 1911.

Wow, loving the mag release extender! I've never seen one and have been bemoaning my tiny girl hands not being able to reach the mag release without changing my grip on my Beretta. My solution is to find myself a Vertec, but I love that this concept exists! Can you give more info on the mod?
