    Brass cased or steel cased?

Current best price I've seen is the Herter's Premium Brass cased from Cabela w/ $5 shipping posted in the Deals forum.

$200 + shipping for a 1000 case for certain brands of brass cased 9mm seems to be the norm currently.

Steel cased is another matter. I've bought a case of Brown Bear for $149 + shipping recently to Tula or Silver Bear for around $159-$175 a case.

A lot also depends on the bullet weight. The prices above were all for std 115gr fodder. Heavier weights of course will cost more.

Check www.ammoengine.com or ammoseek.com for a good idea of online retailers prices.

For brass? The best deal I have seen is from Palmetto State Armory. Blazer Brass for $209.80/1000 ($10.49 per box) with free shipping.

The aluminum Blazer is cheaper, but currently out of stock.

I just paid $165.00 for a thousand from LAX gun range. They are reloads, but they are solid quality.

In April I got 2k Speer lawman for a little over $400 from SGAmmo. I charged my poker buddies about $110 per 500 and made a little on the deal.

I don't use reloads anymore, and don't shoot enough to have the cost make a difference. I had about 2% failure to fire with Bitterroot valley reloads. They would shoot on the second try.

Just ordered some Blazer Brass from them as well as the American Eagle 124 gr for roughly $240/ per 1k. Free delivery and no tax, probably the cheapest factory ammo you can find on the net when all costs are considered.

they didn't quite have the 1k but i just paid $152 for 700 at walmart of the federal 100 bulk packs. I cleaned them out . thats 200 more rounds then my LAX reloads for just $25 more out the door.

And yah, the LAX reloads are just a little hotter then the federals.

By buddy just picked up a case of Federal AE for $200 a case +tax of course. The Miwall booth at all the Socal shows has it at that price.

That is a really good deal. It's close to my cost to reload 115gr FMJ ($6.10/50).
