Does anyone know what this gun would be worth???




Glock 40 blank firing gun its a very loud gun

Its a prop gun like used in movies i customized the firing pin for a more proffessional performance cost me 350 after everything its very nice all metal gun comes with a box of blanks and the case it came in and manual it

Someone ELSE is selling it, not me. Say he paid $350 for it seems high to me but I am not really sure that is why I am asking. I looked online and it looks like they sell for under $200

For that price, you can find a used real gun. Too high of a price for a blank gun. Why even get a blank gun?

Well if he wants it for a movie, then get a real gun - don't load it. And use that as the prop. Add in the muzzle flash and bang later in the editing process. There will be no muzzle flash or anything of that sort. Why is still the question???

Is this for a film? If so, your prop master should be handling the weapons (with an armorer). Do not cut corners on this- people can get injured or even killed (like Brandon Lee) with blank firing guns.

+1 on what cmaynes said. If your friend is planning to use a blank-firing firearm, he really needs to hire an armorer (As well as a police officer if he's planning on filming in view of the public).

I'm down in LA right now working as an armorer for a USC thesis film...

And if you're going on a budget, get airsoft. Will be more difficult to kill someone with an airsoft while you're filming.

And the slide will actually move! I see movies all the time where they clearly just added sound and flash later, no motion of the gun.

Yeah! You can load up the mags with just gas alone, no BB's, and tell the actor (or actress) to just keep the slide lock depressed with the thumb while shooting. You can Hollyweird in the muzzle blast and gun noise later. Much safer than using actual firearms in a production, if you're on a budget and can't afford a real armorer.
