Thanks everyone for the great advices.. This forum is very helpful.. Thanks again.

Here is my experience with Turner's in Fountain Valley. After i took my HSC test and i got one wrong, the guy there said "you really dont care right? as long as you pass the test".

Then today i went to pick up my gun. I showed up five minutes early before my pick up time and the guys said that i have to wait another five minutes until I can pick it up. So I went outside to talk on my cellphnoe and came back ten minutes later to pick up my gun. This time I was talking to a different guy. He said, "You scared me there, you showed up five minutes after your pick up time." He sounds like i was going to kill someone after i pick up my gun or something.

Here is the pix of my new glock

I have a few other questions...

    1. I thought california laws say you must need to put the gun in a locked box when you transfer to the range. As i noticed, the glock box is not lockable. Do i have to buy another handgun case or something? Is it okay to carry a glock in a glock case with glock pistol lock wrapped around the case handle, ammo and unloaded magazine in the same range bag?

    2. I am interested in night site. If i buy it online, is it easy to install or where do i bring to get it install?

    3. A few months ago i took the PC832 firearm course at Evan's shooting range. I bought like 500 rounds of reload from them and i was able to shoot only 250 rounds. So i have around 250 extra rounds left. Is it okay to shoot reload in my glock 17? This is the 9mm 125gr RNC and i think it made by JUSTICE AMMUNITION or something. ? Is it okay to shoot this brand in my glock?

    Thanks

You can transport handguns locked in your trunk, but to transport them to and from your car, you need a locking case, so yes, you need a locking case.

This can be a soft case, a range bag, whatever. What many people do is get a range bag to hold all their gear (eyes, ears, tools, targets, etc) and make sure it has provisions for locking at least one section.

I keep mine in a small zippered bag that holds the mags, loaders, and any other small gear, then throw that in the range bag when it's time to go. This one's from http://www.acecase.com (on their accessories page), is inexpensive, and is available from them directly or at any decent gun show.

congrats. The year membership is definitely worth it at the firing line. You also get the advantage of calling in and reserving a lane. I try to get over there at least 2 tiems a week. As far as your glock case, you can drill a hole into one of the round moldign spots and use a long padlock, but id recommend saving it and just buying a new case.

To lock your Glock case I would recommend taking that worthless lock that you had to get and snugly wrapping it around the handle of your closed case and locking it.
That would seem effective enough to me and is what I've done with my FN 5.7 case.
