    need some glock help!

My g19 was dissassembled because I was filling in the markings on the slide with white crayon, to make it look a lil snazzy. Once the job was done I was so excited at how cool it looked I quickly attached the slide to the frame without inserting the barrel or recoil spring! What a dumba** I am! now its stuck, and I cant get it off. I dont want to break anything. Will I have to dissassemble the trigger to get it off?
    thanks

Ha, I did that before. I forgot how I got it off but i'm pretty sure you dont need to take off the trigger. I'm sure someone else might know.

Get a 1911, you wont have those problems.

But it you can not cock it, if I remember from my 27, it won't come appart. You may have to send it back to Glock, but you might try giving them a call first. Good luck.

      At least post some photos.

You don't need to touch the trigger.

Let me run up and get my G19, and do exactly what you did and let me tell you how to get it off.

        *give me a sec*

          Ok here u go.

          1) hold the slide and push it forward to the "normal" position, just like when you have the barrel on it

          2) pull the trigger and HOLD it, while still holding the slide forward

          3) push the slide forward to disassemble

I just did it to mine right now. I just pushed the slide forward then manualy pushed back the trigger safety stop thing and pulled the trigger while the slide was forward and it clicked and slid off. Its prolly not good for the gun but thats one way to get it off. See if Jicko comes up with an easier way.

It won't do ANYTHING bad to the gun! Man, this is a GLOCK!!

You have to push and hold the slide forward JUST the same way the recoil spring is pushing the slide forward.

Ya I just looked at it again and its just like dry firing it. It just sounded different than with the spring holding the slide. By the way I heard the crayon method sometimes melts when shooting FYI. I did white nail polish on my mags and it came out pretty good.
