Just keep it. Shoot it. Love it. Having a Colt 1911 in your collection is never a bad thing.

      Basic laws of economics

      1. Supply and Demand: If supply is greater than demand, prices will fall. If demand if greater than supply, prices will increase.

      2. Worth: Something is only worth as much as someone is willing to pay for it.

If you can find someone willing to pay you $1,000,000 for your pistol, then it is 'worth' $1,000,000.

            Colt 1911 value

There are some die hard Colt 1911 fans. The problem is, they already have Colt 1911's and are looking for a bargain to buy another. I just bought a brand new 5" Colt XSE and only paid $950. I would have preferred to pay less, but that is the one I could find that was on the list, when I was ready to buy. I wanted a genuine Colt full 1911 for the nostalgia.

Once fired, the gun drops about 10-15% in value. On top of that, any money spent on shipping, sales tax and DROS you just have to eat.

If you want to sell- I think the $800-900 range sounds about right for a used gun. You may have to wait a while to get that price.

In reality, I'd probably ask in the 800-1100 depending on where you are in the state, if its on the roster or not, and the condition which you already said was pretty pristine. Throw up a pic or two and it'll help. Does it have basic GI sights or does it have adjustable target sights, like Bo-Mar etc. Standard or skeletonized trigger, hammer, or any other goodies. Factory case, box, and other things like mags. Anyway, I'd keep it but if you must, you could get 850 or better more than likely.

It is a stock 01991 Colt with the 100 Year Roll mark...Used with 100 rounds done the pipe.

                  As for the above questions:

                  It is on roster
                  GI sights
                  Solid Trigger and hammer
Sounds like it has all the factory items (box, mags, etc.)

The Colt 1991 Series is a direct descendant of the original Colt M1911. A long trigger, flat mainspring housing and original style recoil spring system remain from the or

So for a new one (without the 100 years service roll mark) we are talking $849 on the auction sights and $889 at Buds.

I am going to guess his could sell for around $800...but hey, this is Calguns so go ahead and post it for $1500 and start bumping it.
