KKM Glock Conversion Barrels

I have had good luck in the past with lone wolf conversion barrels in the glock 22 (40-9mm) and the glock 23 (40-9mm) with only using 9mm magazines (not changing the extractor like some suggest). Between these 2 models, ive shot probably 500 rounds through them and have only experienced 1 stove pipe....probably due to the weak UMC ammo.


Well, Lone Wolf Distributors is backed up about a month and i have the chance to buy a KKM glock conversion barrel for the glock 23 40-9mm. Does this have the same cycling/reliability as the lone wolf barrels?

My fullsize 10-40 barrel worked fine with most types of ammo. Had horrible experience with Herter's .40 and 1 slight stovepipe out of 200 rounds of UMC.

The subcompact 10-40 barrel worked 100% with even the crappy ammo.

I ordered a .40-9 from KKM (for my Gen4 G31), and a G17 magazine and G17 recoil spring just yesterday. I have high hopes for it, but once I get it I'll post back and let you know how it works out.

From what I heard the KKM barrels are the best you can buy for your Glock. I bought a .357 sig barrel for my Gen 4 G22 and have no complaints.

I have a couple from KKM for my G20 - 10mm to .40 conversion and a 6" 10mm. Several hundred rounds through both and zero issues. No complaints at all.

I've got the .45-10mm for my 21sf, and it works like a charm. Don't have firsthand experience with the .40-9mm barrel, though, but I've read a lot of positive reviews.

I have LWD 6" 10mm & 6" 10mm-9x25 Dillon barrels, and a KKM 4.6" 10mm-40S&W barrel. I never understood what the hype was about, or why anyone would spend another $60 for the same barrel, until I saw the KKM in person. KKM's barrels are head and shoulders above LWD, and they're made in the USA. LWD REFUSES to state where their barrels are made, though it's been speculated that they're made in Korea or China. LWD will neither confirm or deny that. My KKM has been 100% out of the box, but I had to send both of my LWD barrels back due to FTF issues. From here on out, I'm only buying KKM barrels. Storm Lake is said to be another great barrel maker, but I don't have any experience with them.

When LWD says they're "backed up about a month", either on the website or on the phone, that doesn't actually mean a month. When I bought my G20LS slide, the website showed that it was out of stock, but expected to be back in stock within a week. After 4 MONTHS of the website bumping the expected in stock date forward a month at a time & several phone calls/emails telling me "2 more weeks", I finally got my slide. 4 MONTHS. I realize things happen, but if they didn't know they should have just said they didn't know. I could have respected that.
