    Built me a poorman's Colt Ace/PICS

Found a used Colt Combat Elite here on Calguns but I don't need another
45,so decided to use the Colt stainless frame and put all those loose
conversion kit parts into a full fledged pistol! If you are wondering about the top half it is already sold.I have some final cleanup/polish to remove the idiot scratch and replaced theAccro rear sight with a big Gold Cup/Elliason one. Tuned the trigger to 3.5 lbs, figured a stainless frame is the way to go to cut down on wear from handling as I am shooting more 22LR then anything else. Pete

That does look good, and will probably shoot good too
I'm retired. That's right, retired. I don't want to hear about the cop who stopped you today or how you didn't think you should get a ticket. That just makes me grumpy!

So actually what you built was a poorman's Service Model Ace. Because we both know the Colt ACE had a different frame and slide. No cutout for an ejector on the slide and no ejector on the frame.

Interesting project that turned out very well.
People don't like to be meddled with. We tell them what to do, what to think, don't run, don't walk. We're in their homes and in their heads and we haven't the right. We're meddlesome.
