I wanted to share my latest Calguns acquisition. Just got it home from the Ten Day wait. It’s a Browning BDA .380 “BDA” is the acronym for Browning Double Action. I like the size, the ammo capacity and the fact that the pistol is in MINT condition, Never fired. The best part about this pistol is what I learned during my research. I thought it was interesting that this browning was marked with 3 gun maker marks (Browning – Pietro Berreta’s “PB” lastly Fabrique National “FN”) Turns out John Browning was the guy that designed the majority of semi-auto pistols we use today including the Colt 1911. I had no idea that Browning sold the patent’s to the 1911 which is why he made the Beretta’s and Browning’s that we have today. He also made the majority of the early Winchesters I saw somewhere. Reading is a good thing sometimes. Who knew. This pistol is Circa 1990 and lately ive come to appreciate the older all steel gun designs. When a good one like this comes up; hopefully your in the right place at the right time to be able to say “I’ll Take It”
Enjoy your lunch everyone!
I'll report more when I have some time behind the new pistol. So far first impressions... This was build really well!
