I just brought home my first Sig!! Got the Sig Sauer SP2022 in .40 cal. My question- just did my initial field strip- this doesn't have the loaded chamber indicator (silver piece on the top of the slide). I thought it was a must for CA? Thanks in advance

Just checked my brothers as he got the same gun in 9mm from the same store x1yr ago- same thing- no LCI. Hmm I will call some stores just to pose the question. I could care less about the LCI. I would just keep it. I mean DOJ has the serial and me as the registered owner already... Thanks for the replies...Comment

Man, ufck the roster.
My SP2022 didn't have the LCI either, and it was an internal extractor. SP2022's are all over the map, it seems to be whatever parts they have on the table that day. Unless you really want the LCI, don't waste another minute thinking about it.

The original SP2022 that passed the roster tests didn't have a LCI as it was introduced before the requirement.
The version of the SP2022 without the LCI technically is the version on the roster. The versions with the LCI (and occasionally mag disconnect) technically are not tested, but they are also legal because they are minor revisions to the design or somesuch and is allowed.Comment
