Styer M1A .40 cal

So I just started a PPT on an unfired Styer M1A in 40 S&W today. I had no plans on buying a firearm today but it was a deal i couldnt pass up. Just curious if anyone out there has an opinion on this pistol one way or the other. Let me know what you think or what your experiences have been with the pistol. Here are some stock pic's.

I had a 9mm version. Good gun but support from Steyr is pretty much non existent. The sights take some getting used to as does the trigger. Sold mine and went to another polymer model. Good range gun.

This Steyr M 40 was my most favorite gun, that is until I got a S40-A1. The ergonomics and trigger are better than a Glock. What I like most is the ability to take out the metal subframe and put the rest of the frame in the dishwasher.

Excellent gun- the grip angle makes the .40 feel more like a hot 9mm.

A great gun! I take it every time I go shooting. Recoil is comparable to a 9mm, believe it or not.

Haven't owned one yet I think this is the first time I've seen someone mention a Steyr as a option they bought. I think its a gun that doesn't much publicity but they look good

I bought one about 4 years ago and used it one season for IPSC matches. It's now my nightstand gun because it's reliable, comfortable and accurate.

It's trigger feels like Glock with 3.5 connector.

i only have the 9mm and its one of my favorite pistols due to its ergonomics. luckily, i got it for $499 new, when it was still in the roster.

I shot one in .40 S&W back in 2007. It was great but the sights were a little weird and for me it was hard to get used to them.

I just sold my M9-A1 to fund a restoration project of my Springfield Armory Defender in .40S&W. It was the only reason I sold it. It is a very comfortable, nice shooting pistol. It's also one of the most natural pointing pistols made. Very enjoyable pistol.
