    Questions about my Glock 35...

    Have a few questions:

1.) My brother has a new Glock 22, and his serial number on the lower half in front of the trigger looks like it is stamped in and looks very clean and nice. On my G35, the metal serial number tab looks glued on? Why is it like that?

2.) My Serial Number ends in the letters "US", the Glock 22 doesnt have letters on the end of the serial?

3.) And last (for now, hehe) I have (5) 10-Rd Magazines and when I put 10 rds in the mag, and load it into the glock, the slide is especially difficult to pull back and load the round. When there is only 9 rds in the mag the slide slides back just fine? Is there too much pressure on the magazines? I loaded all 5 of the mags and left them for a while (1-2 weeks) hoping that would compress the spring a little, but it hasn't helped

Thanks. I have put maybe 100rds through this Glock and I love it! I have shaky hands though and I have horrible accuracy, but I will practice! I can hit 1" groups all day on an AR though. go figure

The serial number in the trigger guard is attached to the frame, along with some epoxy. On my gen 1 g 17 and my gen 2 glock 22 they looked like they are glued on, but on the g 26 it looks stamped in, thats just how it is.

Look on the side of your frame. Glock has started producing some of their 17,22,34,35 frames in the U.S, look on the side to confirm that it is probably a us made frame.

Since you mags are new, squeezing the magical 10th round is usually a hard task. Simply download one round to make it easier to load it into the gun. To speed in the process of breaking in your magazines, leave them loaded for an additional week or two and see if that helps, or just shoot it. The 10th round will eventually cram into there.

By the way, great looking glock.

A brand new glock always has the resistance until the magazines are broken in.

If you think the resistance is bad now try a seating a full loaded magazine with a round already in the chamber. Once the magazine is broken in it will get easier.

My Glocks are all 3rd gen, Austrian made. The metal serial number tags are nicely inset in the plastic frame, no US appended to the number.

How do I tell what Gen my Glock is? It looks identical to my brothers brand new Model 22 except for the obvious longer slide and serial tag

No rail & no finger grooves with pebble grip = Gen. 1
No rail & no finger grooves = Gen. 2
No rail & with finger grooves = Gen 2.5
Rail and finger grooves = Gen 3

the way the serial number is put in was changed when they fiddled with the .40 cal frames to ease the KB hysteria. loading and unloading wears out a spring faster than just compressing it ever will.

I don't know when exactly you would have to ask butch at glocktalk but the old plates that were attatched on the ends rather than embeded in the polymer like the new ones would pop out. they changed the dust cover around the same time that they changed the rear slide rails on the frame and the chamber support of the barrel. so it didn't really have anything to do with the kb thing (which can be blamed on ammo most the time) its just that it happened around the same time.

Hahaha butch on glocktalk I think should have an award for every relevant glock picture known in the history of man, ever.

he really should. he has every relevant picture simply because he has every glock. I don't think he has the .380 blowbacks but he does have the simunition ones.
