Don't know anything about them but Bruce Grey is considered by many to be the best and last time i checked, he didn't cost this much.

Get yourself an account on sigforum.com and ask around.

I have no experience with TJ and likely his work is very good but i can say that i've had Bruce Gray build and modify quite a few pistols for me...he does absolutely brilliant work, he's easy to work with and is in my experience much more reasonable. his website is www.grayguns.com

In fact Bruce is playing with my p226 as we speak.

If looking for a gunsmith, I would suggest contacting one of the following:

        Robert Burke: http://thesigarmorer.com/
        Gerry R: http://www.totalautomation.us/
        Bruce Gray: http://grayguns.com/

These guys are established and highly praised in the Sig community

Dave Street has done excellent work on mine. Well worth the trip to the I.E. http://theglockdoc.com/
          Then said He unto them...
"and he that hath no 1911 designed by my servant John Moses Browning,
let him sell his garment and buy one."
And they said, "Lord, behold, here are two Glocks."
And He said unto them, "Meh, it's a good start."

          Luke 22:36-38 (somewhat paraphrased)

That does seem a bit over priced at $400.

Bruce Gray offers their Duty Package for $335 and their Competition package for $350...and both include their Reduced Reset, that TJ doesn't offer.

While Grayguns doesn't have the history of bling that TJ has, they will answer the shop phone without the $25 charge

Mr. Gray has some interesting packages for Sigs... I really wish their was a gunsmitthing course near here. I think the closest one is in Susanville.

Bruce Gray for sure. And as far as that 400 dollar package goes... I didnt see in the description anything about 'reduced reset'. If there indeed isnt, thats too much.

I had a 'Action Cleanup Perfection' package done on my P220 about 6 months ago. I cannot say enough about it. The trigger is amazing! I highly recommend Bruce and GrayGuns. Now I just need to find the money to get him my P229 and HK USPc.

Bruce is known as "the best" and it can't be argued. However he's months out. Tj is supposed to be very very good. I've heard his work is first rate......... I would have 0 issues with using him

FYI, our current shop time for all SIG and HK action work is three weeks, as of August 23, 2012. It'll likely climb back up to 4-6 weeks as fall comes on. As for our packages, a note: All packages above our ACP Perfection include our proprietary reduced-reset system. Thank you all for referencing us and for your kind comments!

                      Wow, welcome to Calguns Bruce!

I just had Grayguns finish the work on my new X5 and it took them about 3 weeks of in-the-shop time.

Not bad for fitting a barrel, replacing the sights, custom fitting grips, and ... oh yeah an awesome trigger action modification!

                            1 Sig Fan:

Todd at Customized Creationz removed material from the frame to create the rail.

It started as an X-Five AllAround.

If you want a SA/DA X-Five with rail from the factory look at these: http://aftonarms.com/index.php?main_...roducts_id=159
