RIA 1911s are excellent guns. My buddy owns one and has had absolutely no issues. It shoots almost as nice as my GI Colt too (my trigger is a little smoother since I custom fit the trigger). Also, Ive heard really good things about the PT 1911 by Taurus...Comment

I have had no problems with mine. I love it. All I did was change the grips. My buddy put new grips on his Springfield and gave me his black ones. I have no complaints or failures of any kind. I would buy another one.Comment

Great pistols. Nothing but good reviews.Comment

I own a Springfield, and they're fantastic pistols, but you're talking about double the cost of an RIA for the Loaded model. A great entry-level Springfield would be the Mil-Spec.Comment

They're very good. The finish might not be pretty but they are great firearms for the money. Its only a matter of time before rock island decides to raise their pricesFOR SALE:

I asked the same question before I bought mine. IMO get the tactical over the basic gi. You won't regret it.Comment

As stated, if you can get the Tactical model. Great gun for the price! Don't listen to the posters that don't like "cheap" 1911's....with liberty and justice for all. Void where prohibited, offer not valid everywhere, price may change. See Big Brother for details.Originally posted by zfields9mm might expand but .45 never shrinks! If you shop at Amazon.com please use the link below.
