    Help identify this handgun frame.

A customer had his gun taken apart to keep the kids away from them and one of his older kids stole a bunch of the things. He has this frame which I suspect is a HiPower of some sort. He wants to try and get a new slide for it. Can you help identify it?

I think we have a winner. The only markings on the frame is the serial number on the front part of the grip.

Which may or may not me good news. FEG went out of business in (IIRC) 2004 and parts are hard to find.

The upside is that some of the parts ARE compatible with BHP parts. Internet research.

I have/had a P90DA Mauser/FEG (more of a S&W copy) and I know there are sites around with compatibility info.

I've heard that the mags are not interchangeable though, a very big downfall IMO.

Question is, why can't he get his kids to return the stolen upper/parts?

No - the mags are exactly the same for the FEG HiPower and all HiPower's of the same caliber.

From what I can tell, most of the FEG parts should be compatible with a real BHP.

I bought 4 10 rd ProMags for a P9R and (SURPRISE! ) all worked 100% in the P90DA. If I was keeping the gun I would probably go with Wolff replacement springs though. All the genuine factory mags I've seen for sale are evil standard caps...
