SB 249 and DRACO AK PISTOL?

I have a Draco AK pistol and if SB 249 comes into effect does that mean I have to get rid of it??? I am confused on that point.

I haven't looked at the bill for a couple of weeks. But it bans magazine release parts, right? So you would probably have to do a truly fixed magazine, meeting whatever regulation the state decides to make this time to be considered a "fixed magazine." Before, it was a fixed magazine as long as it "requires the use of a tool to release the magazine." The bullet button made a gun compliant, because you could not release the mag with your finger and needed a tool to do it. Obviously, SB249 was made because people felt that was too quick and easy. So... they're going to redefine it and make this harder.

^^^ these are just assumptions based on having read nothing more than the two sentence summary of the bill a couple weeks ago. Want to know how it will affect you? Read the whole bill!

Please sign the "Stop SB249" petition if you haven't already signed it. The link is at the bottom of my signature. Thanks.

Is 249 retroactive or can you be grandfathered in with a BB?

A1 it's not actual LAW yet, so nobody knows for sure WHAT it means. All the more reason to fight it though, because at this point the wording is so vague it can mean anything, and we are to assume the worst. Any law that attempts to infringe on the right that shall not be infringed should be batted down regardless.

              Not an inch.

The lastest revision explicity states that all "conversion kits" must be surrendered and no compensation is required. AKA...give me your stuff and be happy you aren't in jail instead. Please sign the petition and oppose this bill as wildhawker has suggested in his thread in the 2A section.
