Tax and DROS, you're paying $1,200 for a $900 pistol.

My Springfield Loaded Target was only $959 here in a gun store. I believe that Kimber has a lower MSRP also.

Prices have been creeping up for the on roster 9mm models for the last year...

You are correct that the SA has a higher list than the Kimber:

          SA 9mm 1911 (Target) PI9134LP $1103
          Kimber Stainless II Target $1081

The non-target Kimber Stainless II 9mm is cheaper @ $964 list.

Best deal would be getting one on GunBroker for a bargain and having it shipped to an FFL with a low transfer fee...

Even Buds has the Kimber 9mm Target @ $1031 these days. So I am not sure what dealer is going to have it for $900.

They can be had on GB for $900, and even after transfer fee ($50), interstate tax ($74) and DROS ($25), you're still less than $1,100.

Press check, there is no LGS that has them new in stock for $900. U can't get any new 9mm 1911, except for ria on sse at any LGS for $900. If u do, please let these fine people on calguns know where.

Yeah...thats why I said in my post "Best deal would be getting one on GunBroker for a bargain and having it shipped to an FFL with a low transfer fee..."

BTW...there are a bunch of the Kimber Stainless II 9mm (NON-TARGET) on GB right now for $800 to $900 bucks (but those are not on roster so add $100 for the SSE I would guess).
There are only 3 new of target models on GB right now and they are listed @ $975, $1000, and $1040. There is a used one listed for...wait for it...$900 bucks! (Don't forget to add $30-$35 shipping)

I think we are on the same page, I'm just saying you are not going to find the target version at a CA ffl for $900.
