My best friend has one and it is a great shooter. Accurate, reliable and a smooth shooter. His has the LEM kit on it and I don't care for it. He does have all the parts to convert it to a SA/DA configuration which I like better. If you can get one for the right price it is a great pistol.

nice gun. the grip of this gun fits a lot of people very very well. yet it's still smaller than all the HK USP's. I remember the size being almost the same as a Colt Combat Commander (just slightly bigger).

Haven't got the time to shoot mine yet, but from my experience with more than 70+ handguns and 10+ shotguns (over-under's, semi-auto's, Side by side's), as long as a gun fits you right, the recoil will be very minimal. I can shoot the Sig P226 without ay problem due to its ergonomics. However, the HK45 feels much better than a Sig P226.

Try to hold one and see for yourself. If you can, shoot one. I remember a shooting range in Burbank has a HK45 for rent (don't remember the name....most likely "Firing-Line").

A++, buy with zero hesitation if you're considering it and have a line on one.

I have one. Its aight. Didnt wow me even though I'm an HK fan.
Accurate but thats all I can tell you. I dont think anyone here can vouch for GOOD reliability shooting at sterile ranges but then again, who here is going to be emerging from salt water and crawling in mud then rolling in the desert with one. That being said, just as reliable as any duty weapon. Hard to find holsters for it and pretty expensive
            Buy my EO Tech XPS3-0!!!

For those nutjobs who like to use the word "gouge"
Note: I did not write the above article.

Looks good but i prefer a Sig 229 or 220, so mine don't see much range time.

Love mine, my fav pistol and my go to one also. Accurate and reliable, not to mention pretty comfortable to hold. Bit on the expensive side in Cali(890-ish in free America). Heres a pic for some incentive.

The USP wells like a huge brick to me after getting a chance to hold an HK45 once.

Friend of mine has an HK45 and I have an HK P30L. They are by far the most ergonomic grips on a hand gun. We both have thousands of rounds down range with them and have had no problems. HK might be a little expensive here in California due to not being rostered, but if you have a good single shot FFL I would buy it in a heart beat. No regrets here.

The one I had a chance to run a few months back was an excellent pistol. Best DA/SA trigger pull I've ever felt on any HK I've run, which includes the P30. Have not ever run the LEM trigger, so I can't comment on that. Ergos were great. Grip felt excellent. Extremely accurate. I didn't have any problems with it, but I didn't run it that hard and it didn't belong to me. Understand though that it's an evolutionary step above the USP, not a revolutionary one. The ergos and grip of a USP are not quite as nice. I believe Internals are the same. Accuracy, at least for me, is a toss up. Meaning both the HK45 and the USP are extremely accurate for me. If you have the money to spend, excellent gun.

I think it's worth the price of admission as long as that price doesn't range over about $1100.00, and preferably less. I've seen people try to sell them for a higher price. IMHO, if the price gets higher than $1100.00, I would pass and wait for another opportunity or get a USP.

A good read about HK pistol on HKPRO
So recently some of you have followed my USP45 FTF thread. While my pistol is back to functioning flawlessly I wanted to create a separate thread about the conversation I had with the man who worked on my firearm. Side note- This man works at HK everyday so what he says counts. This is not some...

I did not care for the factory sights and put Heinie straight 8 night sights on mine.
I had one failure to feed on the first couple rounds. No issues since.
