    Sig p6/p225 spring replacement question

    hey guys.

i just bought the SIG parts kit for the P225/P6. how easy is it to replace the old springs in the P6? is it something i can do by myself with common tools or it has to be done at a gun shop? i'd rather do it myself just because i enjoy doing things on my own.

here is the kit i bought at Midway: http://www.midwayusa.com/eproductpag...045&t=11082005

the recoil spring is a no brainer.. its the other ones. any advice would be great. thanks guys.

it's pretty easy. the only one that is difficult (for me anyway) is the hammer spring.

welp.. it was pretty easy. the only part where i didnt change out was the part that was in the slide. its like a pin spring in the slide and this other wire thing. anyone know if these is a "must change?" i guess i can push out the old pin spring but i'm just lazy to find another tool. but everything else was pretty simple.

i even replaced the stock guide rod with a stainless (heavier) guide rod from Steve Bedair. <--guys on the sig forum swears by them. so we'll see if any changes when i hit the range.

      thanks for the help
