Commander slide on officers frame

Im putting a commander slide onto and officers frame. The frame is for a 45 and the slide is a 9mm, so i need to swap out the ejector, my question is, do i get a 9mm ejector for a commander or for an officers model since the slide is whats carrying the shell after i thought it might be a commander but im not sure.

Commander and Officer’s frames take the same ejector, which is generally a 9mm version. However, not everyone builds their compact pistols exactly to Colt specifications. I discovered that the hard way when I started my Armscor-Caspian CCO build.

the ejectors i looked at said different calibers for the commander and the officers, It said 9mm/38 with the commander sized and 45 for the officers. since its a commander slide would that be fine?

Weren’t you going to be using a Springfield Champion frame? That would be Commander sized. In any case, the ejector needs to be of the right size and configuration for your slide.



Here’s what the ejector looks like on my Champion frame, but I used the EGW ejector pictured in my previous post for my Armscor-Caspian project.



It has worked perfectly during test firing.

I was under the impression that the champion was Springfield's officers size pistol?
