Glock 27 Take Down Levers Jammed

The take down levers on my Glock 27 are completely jammed to the point where they are almost cocked sideways. I just bought this handgun used for a very cheap price thinking I could easily fix it but without any formal training I have been proved wrong. Is there any other way possible to take it apart with the levers being stuck? I'm sure once I get it apart I can fix the problem. Thanks for the help in advance.

Can you move the slide back?

The levers can be jammed if the pistol is slightly out of battery. Try seeing if you can remove the backplate with it pointed at the ground (striker / spring can fly out). if you can get it off this way you should be able to remove the slide.

I know this way works if you install slide without the barrel or mainspring in.

My G26 takedown levers got jammed before because I forgot to snap recoil spring back into it's notch on barrel before replacing slide back onto frame.

The slide functions properly. I'm located in L.A.

litttle far to help, when I use the 22lr conversion the guide rod causes the slide release to be canted and makes it impossible to move pull slide part way back and try to move slide catch into position, then let in slide back forward then pull trigger and try to remove slide. like stated above probably guide rod and spring not all the way in and binding. hopes this helps

is the takedown lever completly stuck? are any of the two sides free to move?
Keep in mind the trigger has to be in the uncocked position with the slide slightly pushed to the rear, before the slide can be removed.

Take a look at part number # 20 (slide lock spring) and #21 (slide lock). Typically when the slide lock spring breaks, the slide just falls off.

The takedown lever is completely jammed. It actually looks cocked a little bit sideways and pushed up as if it has been forced in that position. I've taken my other glocks apart many times but this one seems to be definitely damaged.

I've seen the Slide Lock Spring be too long or too wide and bind in the frame. Remove the Slide Lock then check the Slide Lock Spring for free movement.

If it binds check the frame for burrs in the slot and remove them or stone the Slide Lock Spring till free movement occurs.

Not sure what the previous owner was doing with this glock because it appears to have been tortured or dropped off the side of a tall building or something. The rim of the barrel seems to have taken a hard hit. I'll try and get some pics.
