Barsto Precision's 40 is an STI frame that Barsto puts together for $2300.

Buy a 10mm and get conversion barrel

I think your best bet might be to buy a 10mm - I think Kimber has one or two approved in CA - and get a conversion barrel for the .40 caliber. I believe this is feasible, although I haven't done it yet. I have a 10mm 1911 and have considered this. The Jarvis company might make these barrels.

So when did they stop engraving "BS40" on the slide?

Next time when I have $2300 to throw down for a sidearm, that's going to be my L-10 gun.

GAWD!!!!!!!!!! In the last 30 days, I spent enough $$$ for "routine" maintenance and power windows at the Honda and Subaru dealership to buy that Bar-Sto and 1,000 rounds of factory 40S&W.

Its been done a bunch. Jarvis, KKM, Schuemann, Ed Brown, Kart, STI, Clark and others make barrels. Most are fully ramped so you'll need the frame cut.
                  where are my pistol mags?

I think after the first 20 or 50 units.

My friend bought like 5 of them and re-sold them.
They are sorta like curios now.
How many people have a gun with BS on it?

Where do you find 10 round mags for these Bar-Sto's?
