SOB! Now what? looking for a 40 compact

Recently traded my xd45 for an m&p40c. Liked the m&p but not a fan of the break down... Any who I just sold it and wanted another compact 40. No xds or glocks. I was specifically looking at the Cz p06... But I can't effing find them at gun stores but most importantly on roster... Any help. Sigs maybe. Really want a cz but compact. Not very many options.

If it's off roster find a local FFL that will do an SSE.

Save up and get what you want, you'll be happier with what you want than what you settle for.

            Also consider the FNP.

They're bigger than the M&P & Compact Glock's, though. Maybe check out the Ruger SR-compact models?

SR40c has a great trigger and it's an accurate shooter, much like any modern pistol by now I suppose..

                    It's between the size of a G19 and G26.

                    However cons:

Injection molded slide is ugly and sloppy looking inside. The loaded chamber indicator looks like a shark dorsal fin. You have to slam magazines in and that releases slide nearly everytime, you even have to hold slide catch up with finger while fidgeting with disassembly or it'll slip free and slide will slam finger....

The safety loves to glide across the skin of your thumb while firing. All Polymer Rugers have horrid scuffed triggerguards that Ruger can't seem to avoid. (even my 22/45)

Disassembly is like M&P except you remove takedown pin like a 1911. Slide disassembly is simple like a Glock though unlike M&P.

I think I covered everything. But besides those its got an excellent trigger, mild recoil, and it's reliable. Friend's hasn't had a malfunction from 0-500 rounds.

KAHR puts out a couple models of 40cal. that are legal and may be just the size your looking for.

Ever consider the H&K USP Compact or P2000 or P2000SK(if you want sub-compact)? Or a P30 if you wanna SSE one.

                          Excellent Pistol. My HK P2000SK is a .40 S & W Version 3.

Man, I have not experienced any of this on my SR9c - maybe I just got lucky. These are what I call "budget minded" guns, but is my #2 carry weapon next to my Kimber .45.

+1 for the HK P2000sk. Great pistol, my daily carry.
