I bought one several years ago. It looked good and was a decent first revolver. It shot well and was decently accurate. The trigger was bad, and it had a lot of cylinder shake. I traded it to a friend six months or so later. He wound up having some problems with it and had to have some work done to fix it. I'm not sure what went wrong but I wouldn't buy another one. You can get a used smith & wesson j or k frame or ruger for not much more. Even Taurus and Rossi have better reputations.

They're cheap .357M-rated guns. They work. I probably wouldn't expect them to hold up to thousands and thousands of rounds like a S&W Model 19 or Ruger Security-Six, but for the occasional shooter, they're serviceable and do the job. I haven't ever seen a "CA legal .38" version, but I'd imagine it's the same basic structure as the .357M versions.

+1 to SLO1911Fan's recommendation on any S&W or Ruger, or Taurus/Rossi. If you go for the Taurus, I'd strongly recommend the Models 65/66, as those are very good shooters.

Wow! My .357 Windicator has a great trigger! Not as nice as a quality Ruger revolver, but all and all a nice trigger and gun. Paid $179 for it sometime in the 1990s - great little gun!

One complaint I hear a lot is the finish but could be fixed with duracoat. And give it a different look. I have one in layaway but I might change my mind and get a shotgun instead. I have done this before put a gun on layaway when I see it and go home and really think about it and change my mind. I hope the gun store don't mind. I still am buying a gun from them.

Who knows I might still get it.

Real helpful information, when I decide to purchase one I'll keep this in mind.
