This is long overdue, but here it is. I was shooting my G17 with AA 17-22 conversion and squeezing the trigger rather quickly when a round got stuck in the barrel (about 3/4 of the way in). Before I realized it, I pulled the trigger again and both rounds were at that point extracted. The slide got stuck about half way out. At first I didn't know what happened. Then realized that there is a slight bulge in the barrel. I had to grind it down with a Dremel in order to take the whole thing apart.
I called Advantage Arms to tell them my problem. Some lady answers the phone, I tell her what happened and in somewhat condescending voice she says: "Buy another barrel." What?! So I asked her "Perhaps your barrel is out of spec?" So she told me to mail it in so they could take a look at it.
So I sent the barrel and attached a detailed letter explaining my dilemma, hoping that it would be someone else who was more understanding that would open my envelope. I stated that I have shot tens of thousands of .22 rounds using various firearms over the years and this never happened to me before. I shot less than 1000 rounds with AA conversion and this was a first.
Within about a week of sending the barrel in, a brand new one showed up in my mailbox, with no questions asked. Although the initial contact wasn't most promising, I thank Advantage Arms for their fast and great service.
That is all.
