    Walther PPQ 10rd mags

Cant seem to find them in stock anywhere (.40) and the seller on gunbroker just told me they made a mistake and don't have them. So I am moving to CA and will have a Walther PPQ with no mags.

I was planning on getting the 12's permanently changed to only accept 10 rds. Is this something I can do and still stay the right side of the law.

    Cheers

Pretty much any P99 mag you buy new today will work. I've used ProMags and MecGar for example. You may have to slightly file a bit of metal off the housing depending on the ammo you run, but that's no biggie to do.

Yes you can permanently modify the PPQ mags to only accept 10 rounds. Just make sure the mod is in fact permanent (pinned and welded is a good idea) and you make the mod BEFORE ever assembling the mag. Also make sure you mod it such that you can't force an 11th round in there...

      Howdy.
      1. Follow this link and there is a stick on PPQ magazines.

      2. I think www.ebrworks.com may be able to help on the magazines. If they can't I believe there is a local vendor that sells 10-round limiting kits for hi-capacity magazines.

Good Luck. I want to get the 9mm version of the PPQ.

I purchased a 10 round magazine Baby Desert Eagle (with plastic base) for my PPQ 9mm from MidwayUSA and shot 200 flawless rounds through this mag.

Ya, the 4" barrel Baby Desert Eagle polymer is a rebranded P99.

Ahh - that makes sense now! I have a classic, all-metal 5" barrel Baby Desert Eagle and tried the PPQ mags in it. Didn't work! At least now I know why... thanks for the info!
