Ruger MKII Grips

I'll looking to get a new grip for my MKII. It already has an aftermarket set with palm swells but I like finger groves too. So I'm looking at the Hogue grips, with or without fniger rest (what do you owners prefer?) Do the Hogue's have flat side panels or do they also swell in the palm?

Or should I just try the hogue slip ons over the current grips?
