    New Colt Python….. best grips?

I bought myself a blued Python for my birthday, which aftermarket grips offer the best fit and finish out of the box…..?Don’t really want to send the gun off to have grips fitted.

Old Python target stocks. The same thing but with nice wood and raised checkering.

I had good luck with Altamont grips. I have them on a few of my S&W and Ruger revolvers. They are good fit and good quality, and Altamont customer service has been always responsive when I needed some extras.

I just ordered some grips from them for my S&W Model 13-3. First time ordering from them.

A fellow on the Colt forum sells excellent reproductions Python grips. Don't even think of comparing them to the Thai types. Deer Hollow is the site name. They run anywhere from $225.00 to $250.00 last time I checked.

              They fit the 2020 Pythons.

When I wanted a set of old style factory wood grips with the metal logo inlay for my S&W 686+ revolver, I first tried Altamont. They were alright, but didn't look like my 1980's style 686 wood grips. (That was the style I was looking for.) The Altamonts are also very thick on the inside upper part of the grip near the back part of the trigger guard.
                  Found Eagle Grips:

Pros: The grips looked exactly like what I was looking for and feel great!
Cons: It took a VERY LONG TIME to get those grips since I believe they hand craft each set to order (minimal to no inventory from what I could determine)
