Guys, can you help out a noob? I am confused on the model of night sights for the standard Springfield loaded 1911. I want to get night sights, but their are never any for this specific model. Am I supposed to get the Colt 1911 sights? This is the standard 5" barrel and non target model. Please let me know which night sights model I need to select for. Any help appreciated.

You need to know if your Loaded came with Target sights or Combat sights, then go to Brownell's and look for the night sights you prefer for the sight cut you have.I voted against Obama before it was cool.
Originally posted by 1911LuvrI beg to differ. The full length dust cover rail makes a world of difference in the "when I run out of bullets I'm going to beat you to death with the pistol" look that causes bad guys to run in fear, and lesser men to feel inadequate. It looks just plain beastly and the extra heft up front does help manage recoil a bit better. Plus, an angel told me that when God called JMB to heaven it was to build him a full rail 1911! -
My SA Loaded model came with Trijicon night sights.Life Member NRA and 2A Foundation.

SA loaded 1911 that has night sight installed are typically using Trijicon night sights with Novak dovetail cut, for their fixed sight models. So in theory, if your loaded 1911 does not come with night sights installed, you can buy a set of Novak cut night sight and install it yourself.NRA certified RSO, Pistol/Rifle/Personal Protection Inside The Home instructor, Certified SIG/Glock pistol armorer.Comment

Exactly which Loaded model do you have OP? The non-target models usually come with night sights already from the factory.Comment

Lots of loaded models guys...some come with fixed night sights, some do not...
PX9151LP for example, comes with combat fixed 3-dot.
I think the OP would know if his gun already had night sights."But far more numerous was the herd of such, Who think too little and who talk too much." -John DrydenComment
