New SR9c owner + pics + range report

Hello fellow calguners! Ive been on the forum for a bit and been lurking here and there. Finally decided to take some pics of my tool and give you my 1st range report.

    Pics first :

    Range report:

1st 10rds: shots were high and off to the left. Asked the RO and he suggested i adjust my grip and stance.

2nd 10rds: good grouping and from his advice 'not bad for a first timer'

Kept going and polished off 100rds and called it a day. Bought the gun mainly for HD but will def bring it out to the range for fun here and there.

PS: Yes my other hobby is photography

Looking good. I've been looking at the SR9c for a while. After seeing these pictures, I might have to pick one up sooner than I anticipated.

Since the RO was giving you advice on grip and stance, I'll be one of the many that would recommend either taking a class/course or getting private lessons. It helps out a lot. More is better, but even taking one and learning just the basics is really good.

Congrats man. Now time to get a lot of range time in.

I picked up the full size SR9 in ss and love it. It was my first handgun purchase and highly doubt I will ever get rid of it.

Interesting that you mention your shots were high and to the left. My first couple of mags I kept hitting low and to the left.

Anyway, def a good choice on the purchase!

The Ruger SR9c is a great little gun. I had one and sold it which I regret. I have the SR9 and it will not be sold. I will say that when I have the funds I WILL be getting another.

Welcome to the club. I too chose the SR9c as my 1st handgun. I still can't think of anything in production that I would rather have that meets all my criterias.
