    Probably a dumb question...

...but I'm having a hard time tracking down an answer for a friend. I know someone who is a resident of another state. They own an off-roster handgun. They're moving to CA permanently soon. What do they need to do to bring it and keep it legally? Is there a registration with the DoJ or anything like that? Or do they just bring it in with the rest of their luggage in the U-Haul?

    Thanks!

Roster does not matter. They need to register it, and soon someone will be by with a link to that form.

They cannot bring into California magazines over ten round capacity which are assembled.

It's one of those Chiappa Rhino revolvers, so the magazine issue doesn't apply. Thanks for the quick reply!

Your friend can bring in any Non-assulet weapon pistol, roster does not apply. He will fill out this form and send in $19 per handgun: http://oag.ca.gov/sites/all/files/pd...s/ab991frm.pdf
